We’re a San Antonio crew, through and through. Some of us grew up out by Helotes, others in Stone Oak or over near Lackland, but we all ended up doing the same thing: fixing garage doors the right way. What binds us isn’t a uniform or a corporate manual. It’s the understanding that a garage door is the largest moving part of your home, and when it fails, you need a person who knows the difference between a spring issue and a cable issue without wasting your afternoon. Jaylen Ross, our owner, has kept the crew small on purpose since 2002. Small means every tech carries a written price pad, every name on this page answers to a real person, and nobody hides behind a recording.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Jaylen Ross, Owner
Jaylen founded Marlow Garage Door Repair San Antonio in 2002, and he still rides along on installs in older neighborhoods like Monte Vista and King William where the doors are often as old as the houses. If you call with a door that won’t budge and a spring you can visibly see hanging loose, Jaylen’s first question is always the same: “Have you got a photo of it?” He doesn’t do upsells and never has. He’s serviced LiftMaster openers in Alamo Heights the same careful way he handles a rusted Wayne Dalton in a rental off Culebra. Outside work you’ll find him at the Pearl on Saturday mornings, not because he loves crowds, but because he’s stubborn about supporting the coffee roasters who moved in after the brewery closed. That same stubbornness is why the 365-Day Done Right Promise is written on every invoice, with his name signed at the bottom.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus is the guy we send when a torsion spring snaps at 6 a.m. in a home off Bandera Road and the homeowner has no way to get a car out. He’s been turning wrenches on garage doors for over fourteen years, and somewhere around year four he decided to specialize in counterbalance systems. That’s the clipped, unglamorous term for the springs and cables that do the actual heavy lifting above your head. If a door is heavy to lift by hand, Marcus will check the torsion spring first and then explain to you exactly how the torque should feel when you pull the release cord. He’s got a bad habit of naming his impact driver (currently “Hazel”) and a good habit of confirming the written price before the drill ever comes out of the case.
Dana R., Senior Installer
Dana joined the crew from a competitor that shall remain unnamed, mostly because she preferred working somewhere that actually honored its warranty. Her specialty is track work and panel replacement across the sprawling HOAs in far northwest San Antonio, where the big hills cause door frames to settle slightly out of level. Slight is the enemy. If your door grinds metal-on-metal on one side and glides silent on the other, Dana will spend the extra ten minutes with a laser level and a string to confirm whether the real fix is a hinge, a shim, or a track adjustment, not a whole new panel. She refuses to wear steel-toed boots that don’t have insoles in them, which is the only personal fact she allows on our page, and even that she asked to keep brief.
Carlos B., Service Coordinator
Carlos is the voice on the phone when your door is halfway open at 11 p.m. and you’re trying to figure out whether to park the truck inside anyway. He doesn’t read a script because we don’t have one. He’s lived in San Antonio his entire life and still says “I’m on it” more than anyone we know. Carlos built a one-page cheat sheet of the eight brands we service, LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor, with the phone numbers of two parts suppliers on the near South Side who answer after hours. That’s how a call becomes a scheduled visit with a live arrival time you can track, without anyone putting you on hold. He keeps almonds in his glovebox and a paper street map under them, because GPS drops signal in the Hill Country and Carlos doesn’t.
One Standard, Every Job
Every name above has heard the same sentence from Jaylen at least once: “The written price goes on the table before the ladder comes off the truck.” That’s the Relay Standard, and it doesn’t flex based on how busy we are or how urgent your call sounds. The Relay Visibility Guarantee means you see the live arrival time, before-and-after photos, and a digital invoice you can pay from a link. On a spring job that could be a $150 single spring in a small one-car off Marbach, or a $290 set on a heavier two-car door out in Fair Oaks, the number is locked before work begins, not after. Every repair is covered by the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If the fix fails for any reason tied to that visit, we send a second visit free, and we write you a new paper receipt with the same name on it. We’re not a franchise button-pushing operation. We’re four people and one owner who answer the phone like humans, because that’s the business we set out to build in 2002, and that’s the business we still run today.
